About Me
I will work hard to help you make positive changes in your life
I am an experienced psychologist with expertise in the area of traumatic / operational stress as well as broader mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, relationship questions, parenting stress, work stress, anger, and substance use.
A large part of my work has been with Canadian Forces and RCMP members/veterans and their families. In listening to the experiences of service members, I have seen first-hand how people can recover well by courageously confronting their deepest challenges; I bring this sense of hope and belief in the human spirit to my work with all of the people I see.
I have a B.A. from McGill University and Ph.D. from Western University. I was trained in a number of different settings which has allowed me to work with a range of life challenges that people face (e.g., chronic pain, fertility challenges, medical illness, early-onset psychosis, mood and anxiety disorders, parenting challenges).
I thoroughly enjoy my work as a psychologist and attempt to share this with new members of the profession by giving guest lectures to students/residents at the University of Western Ontario and University of Waterloo, and supervising graduate students, residents and psychologists in supervised practice.
I have published academic papers on traumatic stress and moral injury and have shared this acquired knowledge in the form of presentations to academic and community audiences.
